Poor mental health is almost invisible. You can’t see it as a Physical Injury. But what if I say that 90% of your life’s problems are because you have Poor Mental Health.

You’re lazy, you procrastinate, you have a porn addiction, you’re addicted to Netflix, you have a poor sleep cycle, and you can’t focus. All of these are symptoms of Poor Mental Health.

Surely your mental health isn’t bad enough that you need to go to a Mental Asylum. But it’s poor enough that it obstructs your progress in life. And there are 2 main activities that will definitely help you improve your mental health

  • Meditation
  • Gratitude Journaling

We’ll talk about meditation in some other article because in this article we are going to be going deep into gratitude journaling.

Research has been done that shows that people who are grateful are much happier and contented with life. And have much better mental health.

What should I write about?

The goal of gratitude journaling is to feel the feeling of gratitude from the inside. It’s not to mindlessly write about things in a buttered form like it’s a task that you need to complete.

It’s a task that is going to improve your mental health. You’re doing it for yourself. So, take some time and think about what you’re grateful for.

Can I write in bulleted format?

I have seen many people do this. They do gratitude journaling something like this:

I’m grateful for

- The sun

- Water

- Pen

- My teacher

Seriously man? If you do this, would you feel the feeling of Gratitude? No. You definitely wouldn’t.

So, Here’s How you actually do Gratitude Journaling:

I’m grateful for this laptop because it provided me an opportunity to earn more and because of this I’m able to take care of myself and my family.

Do you feel the emotion in this sentence? I can definitely say that you can feel the gratefulness I feel here.

So, Write in full sentences going deep into the thing you’re telling you’re grateful about and how it has changed your life. Write the details, take the time and write in fucking details. Because if you don’t, you won’t feel grateful.

Can I write the same thing every day?

No. Absolutely NO. Are you telling me that you have only one thing to feel grateful for in your life? You don’t right? You might think that you don’t have many things or people to feel grateful for.

But if you look inside. You’ll find at least 100 things or people to feel grateful about. So, Do some retrospection and really think about what you feel grateful about. Don’t be a pussy.
