How To Exercise Everyday?
I have been consistently working out for the last 8 months. There were days when I missed the gym but on those days, I worked out at my home. And there was a very specific mindset that helped me stay this consistent with working out. And I’m gonna share it with you.
And it goes like this: Lower Your Ego.
Yup, that’s it. Just lower your ego. when we talk about exercising most people think that they can do 50 pushups easily, 20 pullups easily, they can easily lift up to 10 kgs, and they can work out for 2–3 hours.
But you know what? You can’t. You’re not good enough yet. Yes, In this world of feel-good self-improvement. Where everyone says that you deserve the world, you are beautiful as you are. And all other bullshit.
I’m telling you you are not good enough to work out for hours but your ego will tell you otherwise. You need to lower your ego and tell yourself that you will work out for only 10s every day.
Tell yourself that working out for 10s every day is far far better than working out for one day in a week. You have your whole life to up the volume. But right now all you need is consistency and consistency can only be built by showing up everyday.
And you’ll only show up every day if you lower your bar for success. Because In your head you have made exercising a task that you only tick off if you exercised for 1 hour.
But you need to remove that barrier and tell yourself that you’ll tick the task of exercising even if you exercise for 10s every day.
Now, You might be thinking that I won’t make any gains that way. Yes, you won’t but making gains isn’t your goal as of now. Your goal is to stay consistent.
Once you build that consistency, you can go and up your volume to build the gains. You’ve already tried sticking to exercising every day but failed countless times. So, Why not give this strategy a try? If it works, It’s a win-win for both of us.
